Specializing in the machining of precious metals, Horlyne boasts a wide range of equipment to meet its customers’ requirements. This ongoing investment in cutting-edge technologies enables us to manufacture both small and large production runs.
Turning involves machining material to the highest precision. This process is an integral part of the many delicate stages involved in the design of our parts. We work with 3-axis, numerically-controlled, twin-spindle lathes, which enable us to work finely and meticulously in all essentially precious metals (gold, platinum, heavy metals, etc.).
CNC milling is a manufacturing technique that consists of cutting and shaping a part using software-programmed cutting tools, combining two movements: the rotation of a tool, and the advance of a workpiece. Known for its accuracy, precision and repeatability, it is essential to the machining of our parts. In addition to turning, CNC milling forms the basis of the machining process. Milling also enables us to create decorations such as guilloches, clous de Paris, diamonds and engravings.
Laser engraving offers a number of advantages, including increased speed and efficiency, the ability to engrave complex shapes and patterns, and the capacity to produce high-quality parts with fine detail. Thanks to the technology used, we can also create sandblasted, satin-finished and beaded decorations. What’s more, laser cutting is a non-contact process, which means it doesn’t require the use of traditional cutting tools, which can wear out quickly, and enables the creation of parts with minimal burrs or surface defects.
