After a three-year wait, the 11th edition of the Biennale du patrimoine horloger was held in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Le Locle and St-Imier, attracting more than 4,500 visitors to delve into the treasures of Swiss watchmaking. Among the participating companies, Horlyne had the honor of sharing its exceptional know-how with enthusiasts of this world, in a warm and enriching atmosphere.
During the two-day event, between 70 and 100 visitors came through Horlyne’s doors to discover the wealth of our professions, thanks to the presence of three experts in gem-setting, guilloché and anglage. These craftsmen were able to demonstrate the subtle artistry for which our company is renowned, showing how their unique know-how complements cutting-edge technologies to create high-precision components.
We were also pleased to welcome the RTS and the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FH), who came to visit us on Saturday. For Horlyne, this was a year of sharing and exchange, and the company is already looking forward to the next edition, scheduled for 2026. Discover the RTS documentary.
Watchmaking expertise: Between tradition and innovation
This Biennial is also an opportunity to highlight what makes us so special: the duality between cutting-edge technologies and exceptional craftsmanship. In a video from the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry, Denis Clerc explains this relationship perfectly, which is at the heart of Horlyne’s philosophy: “The high precision of watchmaking relies on technically advanced machines, but it is also ensured by the hands of people who possess exceptional know-how.”
This contrast between technical innovation and traditional craftsmanship is the foundation of our mission at Horlyne, and the Biennale du patrimoine horloger offers us a valuable opportunity to share this duality with the public. The trades of angleur, guillocheur and crimper, for example, require expertise and a mastered gesture that cannot be replaced, even by the most sophisticated machines.
See you in 2026
The 11th Biennial closed with the 48th Bourse Suisse d’Horlogerie at the Musée International d’Horlogerie, but the adventure is just beginning for Horlyne. Our entire team is looking forward to participating in the 12th edition of the Biennale in 2026, to continue transmitting the essence of our craft and helping visitors discover the secrets of our watchmaking expertise.
Our warmest thanks to all those who came to visit us and share these precious moments of exchange. We look forward to seeing you in two years’ time for new discoveries and to continuing our joint celebration of Swiss watchmaking heritage.
